ਡਰ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨ
ਇੱਕ ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਲਈ, ਇਹ ਮਨੋਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਂ ਦੋ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟ ਗੁਣ ਸੂਖਮ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਢੁਕਵਾਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਨੋਰੋਗੀ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟ ਦੇ ਉਹੀ ਗੁਣ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੂਖਮ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੌਖਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਾਈਕੋਪੈਥ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਸਿਓਪੈਥ ਬੋਲਚਾਲ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਨ। ਮਨੋਚਿਕਿਤਸਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗੈਰ-ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤ ਵਿਕਾਰ (ਏ: ਐਸ: ਪੀ: ਡੀ:) ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਅਧਿਆਇ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਬੋਲਚਾਲ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ। ਐਨਪੀਡੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਪੈਥੋਲੋਜੀਕਲ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਮਾਜਿਕ / ਮਨੋਰੋਗ ਸਵੈ-ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪੈਥੋਲੋਜੀਕਲ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਾ ਘੱਟ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਘੱਟ ਸੂਝਵਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਹੈ। ਕੁਝ ਖੋਜਕਰਤਾ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਹਾਈਬ੍ਰਿਡ ਹੈ - "ਸਾਈਕੋਪੈਥਿਕ ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਜ਼ਮ"। ਇਹ ਜਾਣਨਾ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੀਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਜ਼ਮ, ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਜ਼ਮ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ-ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤ ਇਕੋ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਖੋ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਹਨ। ਵੈਕਨਿਨ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, "ਮਨੋਰੋਗੀ, ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ, ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਵੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ: ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਦ ਦੇਣ ਜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੋਖਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੰਦ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਮਜ਼ਾਕੀਆ ਵੀ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ! " ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ "ਘਾਤਕ ਸਵੈ ਪਿਆਰ - ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਜ਼ਮ ਰੀਵਿਜ਼ਿਟਡ" ਵਿੱਚ ਵੈਕਨਿਨ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਹੈ:
ਸਕੌਟ ਪੇਕ ਜੋ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉਲਟ, ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟ ਬੁਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ - ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਇਰਾਦੇ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਹੈ (ਮੈਨਸ ਰੀਆ)। … ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਵਹਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਵਹਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ ਉਦਾਸੀਨ, ਬੇਰਹਿਮ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਪਰਵਾਹ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਪਮਾਨਜਨਕ ਵਿਵਹਾਰ ਅਫ-ਹੈਂਡ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ-ਦਿਮਾਗੀ ਹੈ, ਮਨੋਰੋਗੀ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ... ਜਦੋਂ ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟ ਦੀ ਹਉਮੈ, ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਮਤਾ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਗੈਰ-ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਦੇ ਭਾਵੁਕਤਾ, ਧੋਖੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਰਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਾਸਫਰਟੀਲਾਈਜ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੋਰੋਗੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜੋ ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਪਛਤਾਵੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਆਰਥੀ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਮਨੋਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਯੋਗਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਧਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਹੇਰਾਫੇਰੀ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨੋਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਣਾਂ, ਲੋੜਾਂ, ਤਰਜੀਹਾਂ, ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੇ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਜੀਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਲੋਕ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮਨੋਰੋਗੀ ਇਸ ਕੁਇਡ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਕੋ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਹੈ, ਸਿਰਫ ਤਾਕਤ ਸਹੀ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ, ਮਨੋਰੋਗੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ "ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ" ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮਨੋਰੋਗੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਨੈਤਿਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਨੋਰੋਗੀ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ। ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ, ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਡਰਾਈਵਜ਼ ਦੀ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ, ਤਰਜੀਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਪਹਿਲ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਉਸਨੇ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਹਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਪਿਆ ਜਾਂ ਨਾਸ਼ ਹੋਣਾ ਪਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਲਈ ਤਰਕਸ਼ੀਲ ਦਲੀਲਾਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ, ਪਰ ਅਲਟੀਮੇਟਮ ਅਤੇ ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਉਸਨੇ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੇ ਪੈਰੋਕਾਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਝਿਜਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋਣ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਮੀਦ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਲੜਨ, ਆਪਣੀ ਆਰਾਮ, ਦੌਲਤ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਦੇਣਗੇ। ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਖਰੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉਲਟ ਰਾਏ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
ਪਰ ਨਹੀਂ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ, ਉਹ ਕੋਈ (ਅਸਲ) ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਝਗੜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਫੈਸਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦੇ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰੋ। (Q: 4:65)।
ਜਦੋਂ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਸੂਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸੀ ਔਰਤ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਚੋਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ। Q:33: 36)।

1977 ਵਿੱਚ, 20 ਸਾਲਾ ਕੋਲਿਨ ਸਟੈਨ 400 ਮੀਲ ਦੂਰ ਕੈਲੀਫੋਰਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਦੋਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਓਰੇਗਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਜਦੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਰੁਕੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਫ-ਸੁਥਰੇ ਦੋਸਤਾਨਾ ਜੋੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਉਹ ਆਰਾਮਦਾਇਕ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਸੀਟ 'ਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਈ। ਪਰਿਵਾਰ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਆਖਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਹੂਕਰ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਕੋਲੀਨ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੋਸਤਾਨਾ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਤੀ, ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਹੂਕਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਬਰਫ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੁਫਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੁਕਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੋਲੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੜਕ 'ਤੇ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੀ ਰੁਕ ਗਏ। ਹੂਕਰ ਕਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ, ਕੋਲਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਗਲੇ 'ਤੇ ਚਾਕੂ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਕੋਲੀਨ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੰਮ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਹੱਥਕੜੀ ਲਗਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਪੱਟੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਗਲਾ ਘੁੱਟ ਲਿਆ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਲਾਈਵੁੱਡ ਦੇ ਬਣੇ ਡੱਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਹ ਲੈ ਸਕਦੀ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਡਿੱਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹੂਕਰਜ਼ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਜੈਨਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ। ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਕੋਲਿਨ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਕਦੇ ਵੇਖੇਗੀ।
ਘਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ, ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਕੋਲੀਨ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਰੀ ਡੱਬਾ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਹਿਖਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਉਤਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਬਰਫ ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ 'ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ 'ਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਚਮੜੇ ਦੀ ਪੱਟੀ ਨਾਲ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੁੱਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਓਵਰਹੈੱਡ ਪਾਈਪ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਅੱਖਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਪੱਟੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਕੋਲੀਨ ਦੇ ਥੱਲਿਉਂ ਬਰਫ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਟਕ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਚੀਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣ ਅਤੇ ਚੀਕਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਸਥਿਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੰਦੀ ਦੇ ਵੋਕਲ ਕੋਰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਕੋਰੜੇ ਮਾਰਨੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਜਿੰਨਾ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਚੀਕਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਟਿਆ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਂਗਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹਣ ਲਈ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਉੱਚਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਪੱਟੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ, ਕੋਲਿਨ ਨੇ ਫਰਸ਼ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਸ਼ਲੀਲ ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨੰਗੀ ਔਰਤ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਟਕ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਦੇਰ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਜੈਨਿਸ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਸੈਕਸ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਲਟਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਤਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਾਂ ਦੁਖੀ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੁੱਟਮਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਟ ਲੱਗ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਤੰਗ ਡੱਬੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਿਠਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਦਾ ਡੱਬਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਿਰ 'ਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਸਥਿਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਚੀਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਟੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਸੰਕੁਚਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਚੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੰਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਡਰਾਉਣੀ ਰਾਤ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਰਨ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਕੋਲੀਨ ਦਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਹੁਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਜੈਨਿਸ ਇੱਕ ਸਧਾਰਣ ਜੋੜਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਚੁੱਪ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਸਨ। ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਇੱਕ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਲੱਕੜ ਮਿੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਭਰੋਸੇਮੰਦ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਜੋੜੇ ਦੇ ਕਿਰਾਏ ਦੇ ਮਕਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਗੁਆਂਢ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਅਜੀਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ।
ਕੈਮਰੂਨ 1973 ਵਿੱਚ ਜੈਨਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ 15 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੀ। ਇੱਕ ਮਿਰਗੀ ਦਾ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਸਵੈ-ਮਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਉਹ ਨਰਮ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕੀਮਤ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਜੈਨਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੰਸਕ ਅਸ਼ਲੀਲਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਸੀਹੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਇੱਕ ਸੈਡੋਮਾਸੋਸਿਸਟ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਜੈਨਿਸ ਹਰ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਦੁਰਵਿਵਹਾਰ ਲਈ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਉਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ।

ਮਨੋਰੋਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਹਿ-ਨਿਰਭਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਇਹ ਸਹਿਜੀਵੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਇੱਕ ਪੰਥ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਕਲਟਿਸਟ ਪੈਰੋਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ। ਪੰਥ ਦਾ ਨੇਤਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰੋਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨੇਤਾ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨਗੀ ਗੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਜੋ ਅਕਸਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪੰਥਵਾਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਨੇਤਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੜਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਝੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨਕਾਰੇ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਪੰਥ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਪੈਰੋਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਡਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰ। ਇਹ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਮੇਲ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਕਲਟਿਸਟ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਡਰ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਬਲਕਿ ਤਿਆਗ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਹੈ। ਪੰਥ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ, ਕਲਟਿਸਟ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਕਤਲ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਦਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਹੈੱਡ ਬਾਕਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਕੋਲੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਾਕਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਿਆ। ਅਖੀਰ ਉਹ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਹ ਲੈ ਸਕਦੀ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਖਤਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਬਾਕੀ ਦਿਨ ਭੁੱਖਾ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਪਾਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਲੂ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਦੇਰ ਲਈ ਪਾਈਪਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲਟਕਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਸਿਰ ਦਾ ਡੱਬਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਿਰ 'ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਰੈਕ 'ਤੇ ਖਿੱਚਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਬੱਧੀ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਪਈ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟ ਪੰਥ ਦਾ ਨੇਤਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰੋਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਧੀਨਗੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਸੂਖਮ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਸੀਹੇ ਜੋ ਲੰਬਿਤ ਕਿਆਮਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਅਧੀਨਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ। ਨਾਰਸੀਸਿਸਟ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਈਕੋਪੈਥ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਡਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਦਬੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਧਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇਠ ਲਿਖੀ ਹਦੀਸ ਇਸ ਨੁਕਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕਰੇਗੀ:

ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਦਾ ਰਸੂਲ ਮੁਸਲਾਅ (ਨਮਾਜ਼ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ) ਤੇ ਈਦ-ਉਲ-ਅਜ਼ਹਾ ਜਾਂ ਅਲ-ਫਿਤਰ ਦੀ ਨਮਾਜ਼ ਲਈ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ। ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਲੰਘਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਹੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ! ਦਾਨ ਦਿਓ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਰਕ ਦੇ ਵਸਨੀਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ (ਔਰਤਾਂ) ਹੋ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, "ਹੇ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਦੇ ਰਸੂਲ, ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈ?" ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, "ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਾਰ-ਵਾਰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਅਕ੍ਰਿਤਘਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਇੱਕ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਸਮਝਦਾਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਗੁੰਮਰਾਹ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, "ਹੇ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਦੇ ਰਸੂਲ! ਸਾਡੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਘਾਟ ਹੈ? ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਕੀ ਦੋ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ?" ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਂ-ਪੱਖੀ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਔਰਤ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਹਵਾਰੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਨਮਾਜ਼ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਵਰਤ ਰੱਖ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ?" ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਂ-ਪੱਖੀ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਹਦੀਸ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਬਿਰਤਾਂਤਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਲੜੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿਕਰਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਬਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ। ਡਰ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਹੈ।
ਨੋਟ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਉਪਰੋਕਤ ਹਦੀਸ ਵੀ ਅਨੌਖੇ ਹੈ। ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਦੇ ਐਸਕੈਟੋਲੋਜੀ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਨਬੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਕਿਆਮਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਜੀ ਉੱਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਰਕ ਜਾਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਏਰਗੋ, ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਸੰਭਵ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖ ਸਕਦਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਪੁਨਰ ਉਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੱਕ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਉਸੇ ਟੋਕਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦਾ ਉਸਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਵੀ ਝੂਠਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੀ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਨੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਭਵਿੱਖਵਾਦੀ ਹੈ? ਇਹ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਵੀ ਅਸਥਿਰ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ 'ਤੇ ਨਬੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫਿਰ ਵੀ, ਇਹ ਸੰਭਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਇਸਰਾਫਿਲ (ਰਾਫੇਲ) ਆਪਣਾ ਸੂਰ (ਸਿੰਗ) ਵਜਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, "ਸੱਚਾਈ ਦਾ ਧਮਾਕਾ" ਭੇਜਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰਦੌਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
ਹੁਕਰਜ਼ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਾਪਸ! ਕੋਲੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਖਾਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਦਿਨ ਲੰਘ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਡੇ ਦਾ ਸਲਾਦ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸਨੇ ਖਾਧਾ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕੀ। ਉਹ ਦਰਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾ ਗਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਮੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਦਿਵਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਬਕ ਸਿਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨਾਲ ਬਹਿਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਉਸਦੇ ਗੁੱਟ ਨਾਲ ਲਟਕਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਨਾ ਕੋਰੜੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਬੇਹੋਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਹੋਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਖਾਣਾ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਡੱਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਸਮਾਂ ਬੀਤਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਲੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ੰਜੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਅੱਖਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਪੱਟੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਰੈਕ 'ਤੇ ਨੰਗਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸਨੇ ਜੈਨਿਸ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਅਕਸਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੋੜੇ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਦ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਦਾ ਅਨੰਦ ਲਿਆ। ਹਰ ਵਾਰ ਉਹ ਕੋਲੀਨ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਬੇਹੋਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ। ਕੋਲਿਨ ਅਕਸਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ "ਹਾਂ, ਜਲਦੀ।"
ਇਹ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿ ਕੋਲੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਇੱਕ ਰੈਕ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਡੱਬਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜੋ ਤਾਬੂਤ ਵਰਗਾ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੀਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਇਨਸੂਲੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੋਹਰੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਸਨ। ਤਾਬੂਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਵਾਦਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮੋਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਖਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਤਾਬੂਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਲੀਪਿੰਗ ਬੈਗ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਲਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਦਾਖਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਨ ਦੇ ਪਲੱਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਦਰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਤਾਬੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਸਤਰੇ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਧੱਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਜੈਨਿਸ ਸੌਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਅਗਲੇ ਸੱਤ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਲੀਨ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਖਾਣਾ ਖਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਬੈੱਡਪੈਨ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦਾ 20 ਪੌਂਡ ਭਾਰ ਘਟ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਹਵਾਰੀ ਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਉਸਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਡੱਬਾ ਬਣ ਗਈ। ਪੂਰੀ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਸਨੇ ਬਾਕਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤਾਪਮਾਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਲਗਾਉਣਾ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ।
ਤਸੀਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ, ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਕੋਲੀਨ ਦੀ ਚਮੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਨ ਲਈ ਗਰਮੀ ਦੇ ਦੀਵੇ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦਾ ਝਟਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਗਲਾ ਘੁੱਟ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਕੋੜੇ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਉਤੇਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਛੇੜਛਾੜ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਭੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕੰਮ 'ਤੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਸੈੱਲ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੋਲਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਰੋਕ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਉਸਦਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਫਰਜ਼ ਗਿਰੀਦਾਰ ਸ਼ੈੱਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਾਂ ਮੈਕਰਾਮੇ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਸੈੱਲ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।

The Psychology of Fear
In order to understand a narcissist, it helps to learn a thing or two about psychopaths. Narcissistic traits are subtle and the narcissist is quite apt in dissimulation. The psychopath shows the same traits of a narcissist in a magnified form. Once we understand these traits, it becomes a lot easier to detect them in their subtle manifestations and hence identify a narcissist.
Psychopath and sociopath are colloquial terms. The term used in psychiatry is antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). In this chapter I will stick to the colloquial terms. NPD manifests as a pathological craving for attention. Socio/psychopathy manifests as a pathological craving for self-gratification. The latter is perhaps the less inhibited and less sophisticated manifestation of the former. Some researchers suggest that there is a hybrid between the two - the "psychopathic narcissism". What is important to know is that despite their nuances, narcissism, psychopathic narcissism and antisocial personality are different gradations of the same disorder. Vaknin says, “Psychopaths, like narcissists, lack empathy but many of them are also sadistic: they take pleasure in inflicting pain on their victims or in deceiving them. They even find it funny!” In his book “Malignant Self Love - Narcissism Revisited” Vaknin writes:
As opposed to what Scott Peck says, narcissists are not evil – they lack the intention to cause harm (mens rea). … Narcissists are simply indifferent, callous and careless in their conduct and in their treatment of others. Their abusive conduct is off-handed and absent-minded, not calculated and premeditated like the psychopath's…. When the egocentricity, lack of empathy, and sense of superiority of the narcissist crossfertilizes with the impulsivity, deceitfulness, and criminal tendencies of the antisocial, the result is a psychopath, an individual who seeks the gratification of selfish impulses through any means without empathy or remorse. Like narcissists, psychopaths lack empathy and regard other people as mere instruments of gratification and utility or as objects to be manipulated. Psychopaths and narcissists have no problem to grasp ideas and to formulate choices, needs, preferences, courses of action, and priorities. But they are shocked when other people do the very same.
Most people accept that others have rights and obligations. The psychopath rejects this quid pro quo. As far as he is concerned, only might is right. People have no rights and he, the psychopath, has no obligations that derive from the "social contract". The psychopath holds himself to be above conventional morality and the law. The psychopath cannot delay gratification. He wants everything and wants it now. His whims, urges, catering to his needs, and the satisfaction of his drives take precedence over the needs, preferences, and emotions of even his nearest and dearest.424 These traits were all present in Muhammad. He recognized no rights for others. Everyone had to submit to his will or perish. His decisions were God’s decisions and disobeying him was regarded as disobeying God. He did not present logical arguments to support his claim, but issued ultimatums and threats. He demanded that his followers abandon their own will and submit to him completely and unhesitantly. He expected others to fight for him, sacrifice their comfort, wealth, and life. As far as he was concerned he had the last word and no one was allowed to express an opinion contrary to his.
But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) faith, until they make you judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against your decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction. (Q. 4:65).
No believing man and no believing woman has a choice in their own affairs when Allah and His Messenger have decided on an issue.(Q.33:36).
Vaknin says, “Psychopaths feel no remorse when they hurt or defraud others. They don't possess even the most rudimentary conscience. They rationalize their (often criminal) behavior and intellectualize it. Psychopaths fall prey to their own primitive defense mechanisms (such as narcissism, splitting, and projection). The psychopath firmly believes that the world is a hostile, merciless place, prone to the survival of the fittest and that people are either "all good" or "all evil". The psychopath projects his own vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and shortcomings unto others and forces them to behave the way he expects them to (this defense mechanism is known as "projective identification"). Like narcissists, psychopaths are abusively exploitative, and incapable of true love or intimacy.” 425 Muhammad felt no qualm in deceiving his victims, in taking them off-guard and raiding them, in murdering innocent people for no other reason than the fact that they were not his followers, and in regarding them as enemies, deserving to be subdued, enslaved, raped, humiliated, and killed. He justified all these crimes with divine justification.
The best way to understand the mind of a psychopath is through example. The following is the story of Cameroon Hooker as narrated by Katherine Ramsland.426 You may wonder what this story has to do with Muhammad. But read on to the end and the shocking similarities will begin to emerge.
In 1977, 20 year old Coleen Stan left her home in Oregon to visit a friend in California, 400 miles away.
She hitchhiked and when a car stopped to pick her up, she saw a clean-cut friendly couple with a baby, she felt comfortable and got into the back seat. The family, whose last name was Hooker, and Coleen, had an amiable conversation and when the husband, Cameron Hooker, mentioned they were close to some spectacular ice caves and suggested they should stop and have a look, Coleen did not felt threatened.
They drove down a dirt road and then they stopped in the middle of nowhere. Hooker got out of the car, pulled Coleen out of the car and put a knife on her throat. He told her that if she does not cooperate he would kill her. Coleen froze in fear and agreed. He then handcuffed and blindfolded and gagged her. He then encaged her head in a box made of plywood. She was in total darkness and could hardly breathe. She was then placed in the trunk of the car and taken to the Hookers’ house. Janice, the wife of Cameron cooperated with her husband fully. During the trip Coleen wondered whether she would ever see her family again.
Inside the house, Cameron removed the heavy box from Coleen’s head and took her to cellar, where he disrobed her and made her stand on an ice chest. He told her to lift her hands over her head and with a leather strap, tied her wrists to an overhead pipe while still blindfolded. This was just the beginning of what awaited her. Cameron then removed the chest supporting Coleen, so now she was hanging in the air suspended by her writs. When she screamed he told her to go ahead and scream and that in other such situations, he'd just cut the vocal chords of his captive and if she kept it up, he'd do the same to her.
He then started whipping her, both front and back. The more he shrieked for help them more sadistic he became and the harder he beat her. He then placed something beneath her feet, barely high enough for her toes to touch and left. Looking beneath her blindfold, Coleen could see a pornographic magazine lay on the floor, with a naked woman hung up just as she was.
Shortly after that Cameron and his wife Janice came back and had sex right there in the cellar. Then he took her down from her hanging position. Her arms were sore and her body hurt from beating. Then he made her sit inside another tight box and placed the head box back on her head. She was now completely immobilized and barely able to breathe. When she screamed he placed a strap over her chest that constricted her breathing even more, and she could no longer scream. Then he left her like that for a very long and frightening night. She thought she was going to die. Coleen’s nightmare had just begun.
Cameron and Janice were an ordinary couple who did not stand out. They were quiet and kept to themselves. Cameron was working in a local lumber mill and was considered dependable. They lived in a rented house from an elderly couple who lived next door and did not notice anything strange in them.
Cameron met Janice in 1973 when she was 15. An epileptic and with very little self-esteem she was malleable and yielding to whatever he said. She wanted to have a man at any cost. Cameron introduced Janice to violent pornography and tortured her with her with her consent, enacting a sadomasochist relationship. Janice agreed to all sorts of abuses as long as she got his attention.
Roy Hazelwood and Ann Burgess conducted a study on 20 women accomplices of sexual sadists and concluded that the male's sexual fantasies often become shared by their female partners. As he progressively isolates her she becomes more dependent on him, sharing his deviances and sadistic fantasies.
The same synergy exists between a cult leader and his followers. The fantasies of the cult leader are bequeathed to his votaries. They become paranoid and suspicious of outsiders and share their leader’s ambition of grandiosity. They negate their own individuality, in fact sacrifice their own needs and desires, but feel grandiose as extensions of the cult leader.
“It is important to understand," Hazelwood writes, "that the ritualistic and heterosexual sadist inherently believes that all women are evil. Consequently, if and when these men set out to prove this hypothesis they select nice, middle-class women who are apparently normal." They use a process that exploits the woman's vulnerability to turn her into a compliant accomplice.
This is not dissimilar to how cult leaders view human beings in general. They see people as inherently sinners and naturally prone to do evil. Their message is often in the form of warnings and calls to repent.
Muhammad had a very similar conception of women. He thought women are deficient in intelligence and in faith, that they are prone to go astray and sin, and need to be contained. The veil is a symbol of that containment.
Everyone views the world from their own perspective. Honest people think others are also honest and vice versa. This is known as Projection. According to Sigmund Freud, projection is a psychological defense mechanism whereby one "projects" one's own undesirable thoughts, motivations, desires, and feelings onto someone else. “Emotions or excitations which the ego tries to ward off are ‘split out’ and then felt as being outside the ego... perceived in another person.”
Muhammad believed that everyone has a natural tendency to sin and the only way to deter them is through fear of punishment. He projected his own narcissistic traits on others. A narcissist will break all laws if he can get away with them. The only thing that stops a narcissist is fear of being caught and punishment. Therefore to control others, the narcissist uses fear.
Cameron controlled everything and Janice submitted. If she didn’t he would threaten to leave her or to harm her and she complied. The cult leader has the same kind of control over his followers. Their threats are mostly given in the form of admonitions, divine retributions, and call to repentance. But it can also be corporal, involving beating, torturing, maiming, and beheading; it depends how much control a cult leader has over his followers and to what extent he can get away with his whims. In a lawless society, like the Seventh Century Arabia, and especially in Medina where Muhammad ruled supreme, he could get away with anything. He represented God. His authority was supreme.
The sadist is never satisfied. The sadist is always after new conquests and new trills. Cameron decided he needed to have a sex slave and asked Janice to help him acquiring one. She feared if she did not agree, he would leave her. She was ready to tread over her own conscience as long as she could have a family and pretend living a normal life. She also thought that if he had a sex slave, he would satisfy his sadistic fantasies with her and would leave her in peace.
This symbiotic relationship between the psychopath and his co-dependent is quite similar to that of a cult leader and his cultist followers. The cult leader strips the identity of his followers who don’t see any worth in themselves except as submissive slaves of the leader who often presents himself as the representative of God. The cultists are charged only when basking in the leader’s glory and feel negated when deprived of it. They will do anything to gain his pleasure. The relationship between the cult leader and his followers is neither fear nor love. It is a combination of both at their extreme. The biggest fear of a cultist is not corporal punishment, but abandonment and rejection. To gain the pleasure of the cult leader, the cultist will do anything. They will commit murder and suicide, and willingly offer themselves, their wives and their children for their guru’s sexual gratification. The next morning Cameron removed the head box and then pulled Coleen out of the body box. Finally she could breathe easily, but her ordeals were not over. He made her starve for the rest of the day and finally gave her some water and potatoes. Then he hung her to the pipes for a while and then removed. After that Cameron placed the head box back on her head and stretched her out on a rack where she lay immobile for hours. All this was designed to make her fear him. The narcissist cult leader is more subtle in gaining the submission of his followers. He instills in them the fear of the afterlife and the torments that await them in the pending doomsday. He warns them that if they don’t submit, terrible things will happen to them. Both narcissists and psychopaths use fear as a tool for domination. The following hadith will make the point clear:
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:
Once Allah’s Apostle went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) o ‘Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, “O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women).” They asked, “Why is it so, O Allah’s Apostle?” He replied, “You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you.” The women asked, “O Allah’s Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?” He said, “Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?” They replied in the affirmative. He said, “This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn’t it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?” The women replied in the affirmative. He said, “This is the deficiency in her religion.”427
This hadith is reported by many chains of narrators and is recorded by several collectors. To make women fill his coffer Muhammad instilled in them fear and called them to repent. Fear is the most primitive and the most effective way to makes others do your bidding.
Note that the above hadith is also anachronistic. According to Muhammad’s eschatology, people who die, including prophets, will stay in their graves until they are resurrected in the Day of Judgment, whereupon they will receive their verdict and will be sent either to hell or to heaven. Ergo, Muhammad could not possibly have seen anyone in hell which is not going to be in operation until after the Day of Resurrection. By the same token, his claim of his assentation to Heaven and meeting the past prophets is also false.
Could possibly Muhammad have travelled in time and the story of Mi’raj is futuristic? This hypothesis is also untenable because he claimed that upon his arrival the prophets were already in heaven who greeted him. Yet, this cannot be possible because according to his own claim, after Israfil (Rafael) will sound his sûr (horn), sending out a “blast of truth,” Muhammad will be the first to be brought back to life and the first to enter paradise.
Back in Hookers’ house! Another day passed before Coleen was allowed to eat again. She was given egg salad. She ate, but could not finish it. She was in pain and the air was hot and humid. He angrily reminded her that she ought to be grateful. She said she was full. This prompted him to teach her a lesson that a slave must not argue with her master. He then hung her up again with her wrists and whipped her so much until she passed out. When she regained her consciousness he forced her to finish her food, then he tied her up, replaced the head box on her and left.
Time passed and Coleen was left chained, blindfolded and stretched out naked on the rack. She saw very little of Janice and the baby. Cameron visited her frequently and whipped her sadistically. He took a pervert pleasure in her pain. Every once in a while he'd hold Coleen's head under water until she would lose consciousness. Coleen would frequently ask him whether he would let her go and he would say “yes, Soon.”
Realizing that keeping Coleen chained to a rack all day could harm her health, he made a box that looked like a coffin. It had double walls with insulation between them to muffle her screams. The coffin had a hole and a fan for ventilation. He placed a sleeping bag in the coffin and forced Coleen inside it. He then plugged her ears with ear plugs and chained her before closing her inside. Then he shoved the coffin under the bed where he and Janice slept and that became Coleen’s home for the next seven years. She would eat there and had a bedpan for her necessities. She was not allowed to shower. She lost twenty pounds and stopped menstruating. Her world became the box. Living in total darkness she learned to approximate the time of day by the temperature inside the box.
To increase the torture, Cameron used a heat lamp to burn Coleen’s skin and sometimes would electrocute her. Sometimes he would strangulate her and the whipping was administered daily. All these tortures sexually excited him and he would end the sessions by molesting her, but he did not have intercourse with her. Eventually he decided to put her to work and constructed a tiny cell under the staircase where Coleen was allowed to stay unshackled. Her new duty was to shell nuts or do macramé. This tiny cell became her small realm of liberty.
